Go to your account settings, then privacy settings and tick the "Hide Online Now" box and it's gone!!

You can not get a direct link because it will take you to someone else's account settings but here is how to do it.
On your home page go to "account setting" then click on "privacy settings" then check the box "hide online now" and save the settings...its that easy
