Open paint or something like that and then make the box 100 more pixels each way depending on how many icons you want so 500 x 500 pixels is 25 icons..

Then go get the icons you want and start copying the onto you blank square and move them around so they fit right and stuff. Then save it and upload it to http://photobucket.com/ or http://imageshack.us/ after you do that open another window/tab, and go to http://www.xoospace.com/myspace/layout-e... or a website like that. Go back to the place you uploaded your picture and there should be a box that says direct url. Copy that and go to the layout maker and paste the url under the "background image:" thing.
