Log in and go to Change Account settings (its an option next to your picture). Go to privacy settings and there you can choose all sorts of stuff including hiding when you are online.

go to account settings.(next to your picture, under edit prfile.)

then go to privacy settings(the fifth option.)

then under there you will see a check box that says Hide Online Now.

and check it

and then click Change settings
