To me this is a serious issue, all the time i put in a cd in my cd-rom the icons all turn to Internet Explorer, at first i would see my files/ folder icons then wham, a bif fat internet explorer sighn gets over it, this is really annoying. i really want this too stop, ive tried everything i know.. plz help here is a url too understand it a bit better, it a myspace so youll be warned, plz check it out, i need to stop my maddness, or is ti photobucket here : http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s179/...

It is serious. I never saw that before. Download TweakUI from MS:

It will list the app in Power Toys for XP in your start menu. Open it up and select the Repair feature from the left-hand menu. Try the Repair Icons selection to see if it resets your system back to normal.
